Beaver License Agreement

1. The trial

Beaver includes a free 30-day trial of every feature. It starts the first time you open Beaver and needs no account. When it ends, your libraries open read-only until you enter a license: you can still browse, search, preview and export them.

2. Your license

• A license lets you use Beaver under this agreement. Beaver itself, including its code, design and name, stays ours. Beaver includes open-source components that remain under their own licenses.
• A Founder Edition license is for one person, on up to 3 computers that person uses: Macs, and Windows PCs once a Windows version exists. We do not promise a date for a Windows version.
• The Founder Edition includes all future major versions.
• Your license is a block of text that starts with L1. Beaver checks it on your computer, without an account.

3. What you may not do

• Share your license text with other people or publish it.
• Sell or rent Beaver to others.
• Remove or work around the license check, or distribute modified copies of Beaver.

We may revoke a license that has been shared or published. A revoked license stops working from the next release of Beaver.

4. Refunds

You can get a refund within 14 days of buying, no questions asked. Ask through your Taobao order, or write to support@mindigest.com with your order number. A refund ends your license: you may no longer use it in any version of Beaver. Remove it in Settings ▸ License with “Remove License…”. After a refund, the license ID is revoked in the next release of Beaver, and from that release on Beaver no longer accepts the license.

5. Updates

We release updates from time to time. Beaver checks for them automatically unless you turn this off in Settings ▸ General, and installs nothing without your OK. We do not promise particular features or release dates.

6. Your files

Your libraries and files are yours and stay on your disk; Beaver does not upload them. Beaver writes to libraries in Eagle’s format. As with any software that changes files, keep backups of what matters to you.

7. No warranty, limited liability

To the extent permitted by law, Beaver is provided as it is. We work hard to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise that Beaver is free of errors or right for every purpose. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. This limit does not apply to personal injury, to harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it. Nothing in this agreement limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded.

8. Eagle

Eagle is a trademark of its owner. Beaver is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Eagle. Beaver can open Eagle libraries; your use of Eagle itself remains under Eagle’s own terms.

9. Changes and language

We may update this agreement. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply from the date shown. They do not reduce what a license you already bought includes (edition, number of computers, major versions). This agreement is published in English and in Simplified Chinese; if the two differ, the Chinese version prevails.
