License codes are sold in our Taobao store, which delivers your license automatically right after payment.

The store opens with the first release in late November 2026. Until then, licenses are not on sale.

How you receive your license

Taobao delivers it as a key card: a block of text that starts with L1. That text is your license. Keep it, together with your order number, somewhere safe; you need it again on a new computer.

Activate your license

Activation happens on your Mac. No account and no sign-in.

  1. Open Beaver and choose Beaver ▸ Settings… (⌘,).
  2. Click License.
  3. Under Enter a license, paste the whole text into the field that reads “Paste your license here (it starts with L1.)” and click Activate. If you saved the license as a file, click Import License File… instead.
  4. Beaver says “Your license is active. Thank you for supporting Beaver!” and the status changes to Licensed. An open library becomes editable straight away, with no restart (unless it is read-only for another reason, for example because Eagle has it open).

After the trial, the banner at the top of the window also has an Enter License… button that takes you to the same place.

If Beaver says “This is not a valid Beaver license. Check that you copied all of it.”, copy the text again, from L1. to the very last character.

The 30-day trial

The trial starts the first time you open Beaver and lasts 30 days. Everything works, with no account, no sign-up and no online activation. Beaver reminds you twice: when 3 days or fewer are left, and when the trial ends. There are no other pop-ups and no emails.

After the trial

Your libraries open read-only until you enter a license. Nothing is deleted or locked away: a library is an ordinary Eagle-format folder on your disk, and you can open it in Eagle or the Finder at any time.

  • Recognizing text across the whole library, and the Eagle-compatible local API

Refunds

If Beaver is not for you, you can get a refund within 14 days of buying, no questions asked. Ask through your Taobao order, or write to support@mindigest.com with your order number.

A refund ends your license: you may no longer use it in any version of Beaver. Remove it in Settings ▸ License with Remove License…. After a refund, the license ID is revoked in the next release of Beaver. From that release on, Beaver no longer accepts the license.

New computer, lost license, questions

A new or second computer

Enter the same license text on each of your computers, up to 3. When you replace a Mac, use Remove License… in Settings ▸ License on the one you no longer use.

Lost your license?

Write to support@mindigest.com with your Taobao order number and we will send it to you again.

Anything else

In Beaver, choose Help ▸ Contact Support…, or write to us at the same address. Buying a license means you accept the Beaver License Agreement. How we handle data is described in Privacy.
